There is a growing demand for qualified specialists in the organic sector! The »Organic Farming and Marketing« study programme trains and empowers its students to assume position of responsibility in organic agriculture. This practice-oriented programme focuses on agricultural production methods according to the principles of organic agriculture and the organic food industry. This covers arable farming and crop production, animal husbandry and business management as well as processing and marketing. In doing so, programme covers the entire value-added chain.
Here at the HNEE, students work in close collaboration with our industry partners. Practical projects integrated in the study programme, run together with the »Innovation Forum for Organic Farming in Brandenburg« (InnoForum Ökolandbau Brandenburg), provide students with insights into the lifestyle and working reality of agricultural enterprises. This hands-on teaching approach equips students with the skills to work in teams as well as to independently organise learning and working processes.
The programme provides opportunities for students to meet potential employers from the ecological agriculture sector and food industry. A wide range of sectors are open to students after graduation: agricultural production, processing and marketing, controlling and certification, quality management, trade, research or consulting. This study programme can also be studied as a dual programme, namely alternating between an agricultural apprenticeship and the bachelor’s degree.
